A Stone In The Shoe

Something you can't forget about

Mission

WhatsoeveryoudoMission Statement

My mission is to share my struggles, sins, prayers, and what the Lord teaches me so others can share in goodness the Lord Jesus has shared with me.  He is everything and I am nothing.  I hope and pray Jesus will use this to bring a person or two into His everlasting Kingdom or closer to him.

I do link to other charities.  If you are touched by this site please support them in their efforts to feed the hungry, give something to drink to the thirsty, provide shelter for the homeless, clothe the naked, look after the sick, and visit the prisoner.

Charities We Are Supporting

Like everyone else, we have some favorite charities.  We accept no donations ourselves at this time.  If our Praying In The Word has helped you and you want to give something, please give to one or more of the charities we list below.

All of these charities have very low expenses so over 90% of all the money they receive is actually used to help those they serve.

Food For The Poor

This charity helps the poorest of the poor around the world.  They build small homes for people in places like Haiti at a cost of $2,000 each.  They also have developed low cost ways of providing water to people in Africa.  We particularly like their water projects.

Covenant House

This charity provides help to runaway and homeless children.  It operates mostly in the United States.

Catholic Relief Services

This is one of the greatest charitable organizations in human history.  They use the infrastructure already in place through the Catholic church so their overhead is extremely  low.  They work in almost every country of the world and respond to almost every natural disaster.  A truly amazing organization that has been around for a very long time.
