I know I need to guard against this sometimes. It is so easy to want the spotlight. I’m actually accused of wanting the spotlight just for having this website. It is a tricky thing sometimes. But the longer I walk with Jesus, the more natural this becomes, to want to help and want to give, but not want anyone to know. It is actually very freeing when you stop caring about credit and blame. My private prayer journal has a quote on the first page that seems right here:

Sometimes there is a fine line between sharing God’s love with others and looking like you are claiming the spotlight. I think about that because a big part of my job is dealing with the publicity of a Catholic School…..we are all about God, but people often comment on how they have seen ME in the paper or heard ME on the radio….I want them to see God through me….and God is SO present in his family!! But, if we don’t share that with the public, many people will not have the opportunity to learn about this precious gift that exists. But God knows our intentions, too, and he blesses what is good!! God is SOOO good!
