Answer to response 1

Thomas Less, 06/28/2012

I agree that it is difficult to be unbiased, but that goes both ways.  I don’t think someone who has chosen atheism is any less biased than someone who has chosen Christianity.  Of course, the the author never said that wasn’t true and he may agree with me.  However, being biased doesn’t mean one can’t examine the evidence.  It also doen’t mean the evidence does or does not exist and …

The New Testament is a lie because…# 1

Thomas Muhr, 06/01/201201/06/2017

Hey all,

I do not feel that it is my duty or even in my best self interest to post or talk about opposing religious views but I was pointed to this page by a friend. Reasons to believe in religion, the story behind it, and the ‘evidence’ for it are much more intriguing and submersive that the reasons and evidence against it and for this reason it is very …

The New Testament Is A Lie Because…# 2

Robin Harrison, 06/01/201201/06/2017

The purpose of this article seems to be to instill more legitimacy towards Christianity by proving that the New Testament was not intentionally deceitful, without regard to whether it is accurate or not. I see two faults at this core of the article: (1) it is impossible to prove that it is not a lie and (2) whether it is a lie or not is irrelevant.

Proving that there are …

God Made It Clear That The New Testament Is Not A Lie

Thomas Less, 05/28/201211/28/2025

I will contend that it is completely illogical to consider the New Testament to be a lie.  There is no one item the “proves” this, but the weight of all the evidence below is over-whelming.  I realize this does not prove the New Testament is true, but only that the authors were telling what they believed to be the truth.   This does not eliminate the possibility they were deceived or …

If I Were God: I would have made it impossible to think the New Testament was a lie.

Thomas Less, 05/28/201201/06/2017

The foundation of Christianity is the New Testament, yet it is so incredible that it is often accused of being a lie.  If I were God I would have made it impossible to think the New Testament was a lie.

To date I have received 2 worth opposing views as comments to my original post.  I have elevated them both to their own documents and cross-linked all of them

The Burial of Jesus – John 19:38-42 // Matt 27:57-61 // Mark 15:42-47 // Luke 23:50-56

38Afterward Joseph of Arimathea, who had been a secret disciple of Jesus (because he feared the Jewish leaders), asked Pilate for permission to take down Jesus’ body. When Pilate gave permission, Joseph came and took the body away.39With him came Nicodemus, the man who had come to …

Beginner's Online Bible Study: Jesus Is Buried John 19: 31-37

Thomas Less, 04/30/2012

31It was the day of preparation, and the Jewish leaders didn’t want the bodies hanging there the next day, which was the Sabbath (and a very special Sabbath, because it was the Passover). So they asked Pilate to hasten their deaths by ordering that their legs be broken. Then their bodies could be taken down.32So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two men crucified …

Beginner's Online Bible Study: The Death Of Jesus John 19:28-30

Thomas Less, 04/27/2012

28Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty.”29A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips.30When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.
