Something you can't forget about

2 Corinthians 5: 18-21

Thomas Less, October 12, 2010

18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

Father, I have not been the best ambassador for You.  It is time for me to change Lord.  It is time for me to put You first and to talk the talk and walk the walk.  Lord, please change me and inspire me so I can be You, in all Your love, to those around me.  But also help me not to shy away from proclaiming Your gospel.  Let the good news of Your death and resurrection be on the tip of my tongue, ready for anyone who You choose to cross my path.  Embolden me Holy Spirit.

We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21God made him who had no sin to be sina for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Jesus becomes my sin, and I become His righteousness.  You Lord become my sin, and I become Your righteousness.  It is too much Lord.  I know the vomit that is my sin.  It is so disgusting, and yet I doubt I fully understand how disgusting and awful it is.  You gave up Your perfection for my deplorableness.  And then You gave me Your perfection.  Why?  I cannot thank-you or praise You enough Lord.  Whatever You want from me or You want me to do, I am Yours. *2Corinthians5*
