13Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way. 14As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no foodb is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. 15If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died.
Lord, it seems today You have chosen a theme. In my earlier prayers You have led me to question whether I should completely stop drinking alcohol because I was concerned about how it may appear to a Christian brother. Now this verse is the first I read today. I know for sure You do not want me to party like those who drink too much. I know for sure You want me to be very careful never to get drunk. Can I do that without falling sometime. I so enjoy making and drinking wine. My most Christian friends enjoy it too. Perhaps that is my answer. I need to pray for Your help to always, always, always drink my wine as a good Christian should. Enjoy it, but with the utmost responsibility and integrity. As I would if I were drinking it in Your presence, because of course, I am always in Your presence. *Romans14*
