31Pray that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there, 32so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and together with you be refreshed. 33The God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Father, we know Paul was not rescued from the unbelievers…in the end they got him killed. He went to Rome, but in chains and the journey was terrible. Perhaps his suffering did increase their joy when he finally arrived. Paul was perhaps the greatest of Your apostles, and yet his plan was not your plan. Your plan for him was prison, suffering, and death. Yet Your plan forced him to write so many letters, and more of the New Testament than anyone else. I’m guessing Paul is now very happy with Your plan. Father, help me to fulfill Your plan in my life, no matter what it is. *Romans15*
