Something you can't forget about

2 Corinthians 4: 13-14

Thomas Less, September 22, 2010

13It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”b With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, 14because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.

“I believe therefore I have spoken.”  Jesus, I speak so little for You.  I have hidden my words and covered my mouth.  I am afraid that I will shame You with my sins.  I am afraid that I will shame my family.  I am just afraid, even though You command me not to be.  Paul was not afraid.  He trusted he would be raised just as You were.  He had a promise from You, and he was literally betting his life on it.  Lord, make me a good ambassador for You.  Use me somehow, even though I am so weak and foolish.  Make me bold to speak Your word when You want me to, but mostly, make my life speak boldly of You.
