The Bloody Evidence of the O.J. Simpson Trial
I really hate to say it, but this information makes its point best as an outline. It is shorter and makes its points more directly. My vomiting out additional verbiage doesn’t add anything to the conversation.
- OJ Simpson’s blood was found at the scene of the crime
- The odds that is was not Simpson’s blood: 1 in 170,000,000
- The blood of Ron Goldman, Nicole Brown, and O.J. Simpson were all found in O.J. Simpson’s Ford Bronco.
- The left glove found at the crime scene had the blood of Ron Goldman, Nicole Brown, and O.J. Simpson and matched the right glove found at O.J. Simpson’s house.
- There are photographs of O.J. wearing that brand and style of glove.
- The shoe prints found at the crime scene and in Simpson’s Bronco were a rare type of Bruno Magli shoe, size 12, which is exactly what O.J. owned.
- Only 299 of this brand and “model” of shoe were sold in the U.S.
- Nicole Brown’s blood was found on Simpson’s socks, which had about 20 stains of blood.
- The blood was of a rare type that only one in 9.7 Billion caucasians would have. Considering there aren’t that many caucasians in the world, Brown was likely the only caucasian alive with that blood
And The Survey Says! NBC Survey 10 Years Later
- 77% thought Simpson was guilty…but!
- 87% of whites thought he was guilty but only 29% of blacks.
- Consider the worldview of many black Americans.
- We have a long history of racial discrimination.
- Many have personally been subjected to discrimination.
- Many are taught to expect racial discrimination.
- Many blacks strongly hold the opinion the police officers and judges are racist.
- Black Americans looked at the evidence from their worldview and concluded the police had both the ability and motivation to create the evidence and frame the black O.J. Simpson…and can you blame them?
Did Scientific Evidence “Say” O.J. is Guilty?
- NO! : Science, especially forensic science, doesn’t say anything, scientist do.
- There are 2 broad types of science – material (natural) and forensic.
- Material science can be repeated in a controlled environment like a laboratory. H + O = H2O.
- Forensic science is looking at evidence from a past, unrepeatable event and using reason and material evidence to put forth a logical theory about what happened.
- A person needs to gather the evidence correctly
- A person then puts forth a logically sound interpretation of the evidence.
- And you, a person must judge the reasonableness of the evidence and the interpretation.
- Science can be a witness, but not a judge.
- Forensic scientist “say” things. They put forth claims and theories,
- And these scientist are humans with worldviews and biases.
The Simpson trial surely teaches us that a person’s worldview can GREATLY influence how someone interprets evidence.
- Scientist are people, and people, can, and usually do, have biases.
In My Opinion!
Scientific discovery has advanced to the point that any scientist, in any field of study, who is truly open minded, who uses that mind logically, and has the courage to follow the truth wherever it leads, can come to no other conclusion than that God exist.
- What do I intend to show you in the following articles?
- You need to consider the possibility that many scientists are biased, possibly very biased.
- That bias could be closing their minds to an obvious conclusion.
