7Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, 8will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!
Jesus, doesn’t this nail it! Trying to come to You through rules and the law is so dead, so faded, so gone. It was glorious, but now it is over, and so to is my life. It is all faded away like the glory of Mose’s face. And now it is all about You Jesus. Your death…Your resurrection…Your life. I am only alive, really, in You and through You and with You. And yet I wonder back into the world and struggle to push aside my old life and my old ways, even though it is not life at all but death. Your life, that is glorious. You are glorious forever and ever. Jesus, help me be single-hearted and only live Your life to bring You glory. *2Corinthians3*
